The Teac 4 track recorder we used with Stumble became the centrepiece of a small recording studio in the Film Graphics Animation building in Chandos St, Leonards, the heartland of Sydney’s advertising agency belt and the six hour lunch. FLY BY NIGHT was a partnership between myself, the very brilliant former Stumble sound tech Rod Elliot, and Film Graphics boss David Deneen. 
We became almost profitable within a few months, plus I now had a new (extremely cramped) rehearsal studio and recording set up.
XTO? records was set up by Film Graphics head designer, Val Udawenko. My contribution to the label was a rearrangement of Bombora, plus two original tunes, Brandy & Dry and Chinese Bandit. The line up for these recordings was Bob Montgomery (bass) David John ( drums), Stuart Beck ( keyboards) and myself. 45’s were also recorded for Metropolis, Toxic and The Ramblin’ Country Band.
